Venue Woolwich Pier

The charity event styling we did for White Butterfly was a project very close to our heats. It was a chance to give back to a community that had help us in the past. It came about after meeting a very inspiring lady – Sophie Juresic – at the Garvan Institute when she spoke about loosing her sister Vanessa to triple A negative breast cancer. She wanted to raise money in her sister’s honour and help find a cure for this horrible disease.

Without hesitation we donated our time and talents. The charity event styling we did for White Butterfly was so much fun. They partnered with Woolwich Pier who gave us the freedom to turn their venue in to a floral garden paradise.

Guests entered via a custom made floral arch in beautiful shades of lavender, pink and plum. Upon entering, the inside bar at Woolwich Pier had been turned into an indoor flower garden with over 6m of hanging flowers. The flowers where centered down the middle room in the raise atrium, so that they cascaded over event guests. The smell was spectacular and the vibrant colour added to the impact. This large scale floral design was a key component to the styling of the event.

The hanging flowers included a custom made birds nest basket of wine leaves and dogwood flower. Just the little touches we like to add to make our event styling unique. We regularly custom make hanging floral structures and event props, to create the ‘stand out’ features for our events. Regular event goers don’t want to see the same things time and time again.

The courtyard was also dressed with huge balloon garlands and hanging flowers. There were 500 guests so we had to make sure the styling would have impact, but not take up precious space. We chose to elevate it as much as possible around the venue.

In total White Butterfly Org raised a little over $200,000 for the Garvin Institute at this inaugural event. It was a great success and we loved being a part of it.
