Corporate event styling doesn’t have to lack creativity because of the size and scale of the event. At Rainy Sunday we relish the chance to deliver our high-impact, creative styling to any event – big or small.
The Corporate Event Styling Brief.
The brief from Bank of America was perfect for our skill set. Design and style the inaugural ‘State of the Arts’ event for C-Suite guests, from across the APAC region. The bank has long supported emerging and established artists across the region, and this event was a chance to showcase that support. Our job was to design an event that set the back drop to thought provoking conversations around art.
Having proven our talents with Bank of America on other corporate event styling projects, we were given create freedom to deliver.
The Event Venue.
The chosen venue, the Cell Block at Sydney’s National Art school is vase in size and scale. The design of this event and the styling elements had to deliver on a grand scale to make an impact in the spaces.
Outside where guests arrived for evening cocktails, we built giant custom picture frames, where it looked like the canvas was cascading out of the frame. These pieces were designed to intrigue guests and were a nod to the art based conversations planned for the evening.
Once inside the Cell block, guests were treated to an artistic blend of light, colour and creativity. On the high walls of the Cell Block we beamed a moving series of art installations, giving guests a sensory art experience.
Custom Designed Event Stage.
On the stage we designed and produced giant plinths that looked like marble, but were in fact built from ReBoard – a sustainable recycled cardboard. Inspired by old dutch oil paintings, the plinths where made to look like flowers were seeping out of them. Each flowered plinth was 2m tall and 2.2m wide and took two days to complete. The end result was a stunning, art inspired backdrop that framed the panel discussions.
Each element of the corporate event styling was carefully curated to align with the event. We commissioned a young local artists to sketch the entrance of the National Art School where guests arrived. This art was used across all the digital and printed element of the event – from the invitation to the gatefold menus and place cards.
Once all the elements were bought together for this corporate event, the end result was an elevated artistic experience, curated for C-suite guests to enjoy.
