Plastic neutral event styling and avoiding single-use plastic is an important step for the event industry. When INIKA Organic approached us to style their up coming launch event, we jumped at the chance. They wanted a partner help them to announce their plastic neutral certification – the world’s first plastic neutral makeup brand.
Here was a beauty brands whose ethos mirrored our own. An ambition to protect the planet and adopt more sustainable practices into our business. A desire for events to be styled without single-use plastic and with less waste. It was a no-brainer to get on board and execute a plastic neutral event. An event that didn’t compromise on our creativity and was still styled with a plastic neutral approach.
Plastic neutral event styling means you have to look at all elements of the event to pin point ways you can be sustainable and plastic neutral. Great examples of this in practice – the product risers we use. We designed and produced them using recycled plastic fence posts.
The event called for a series of different greenery installations to demonstrate different aspects of the vegan makeup brands product range. When we designed the installations, we made sure that construction did not include any foam or plastic materials. Everything was placed in natural water sources.
